Well, flaming the guy is a matter of course, at least a bit, since everyone is pissed off. That being said, I am glad we are not left in suspense which is pretty rare according to my own experience. So…. thanks for the bumpy ride I guess. And thanks for all the hard work (unless you were a total dick and faked it all) you decided to put in this project.

I don’t know what’s happening in your personal life, so I won’t criticize you for dropping the project (if you actually ever picked it up in the first place, because frankly, I don’t believe you did any work at all, especially after all your BS lies), but I certainly will for your cowardice. At least have the balls to come out and say you’re dropping the project instead of deleting everything and pretending like nothing happened.
You have every right to not release a translation, sell it off to sekai project or drop the game all together, but at least have the decency to admit if you’re quitting instead of running away and covering your ears to avoid further hate that you’ve certainly earned. You don’t even owe us a reason, but at least admit that you gave up. What a joke.

Yeah he deleted everything. He turned this translation project into a fansite, and start uploading youtube videos of his hobby purchases. Some person also ask him why he ran away but he just ignore it. I wish we can receive some news of other translation group that will fulfill promises they made. We’re not looking for a 100% accurate translation. As long as it is understandable, it should be fine

So let me get this straight, the translation was technically already done, but the guy translating all of this only wanted to release it on October to do the final adjustments, and then, all of a sudden. He just deletes everything and turns this website into a fanpage, is that correct?
Well, I just gotta say that this was the first and, at least I hope so, last betrayal that I’ve ever experienced for a visual novel translation patch. Giving the fans of the game hope and then killing that hope by betraying them is such a dick move that I can’t even describe how much of a coward you are. There’s still the anime, but… I wanted the game though.

Nah Lorenzo, he wasn’t gonna release anything on October. That was just an excuse he made in fear of backlash after he “accidentally” deletes all the translation files with no backups. He apologizes for the whole mess and promises to get the whole thing retranslated. A few weeks later, some drama happens that shows how much of an asshole Ren really is by making a post that’s basically just a “fuck you” to the fans, acts as if he was never in the wrong, and decides to delete fucking everything after everyone gave him shit he deserved.

lmao. Not only did OriginalRen delete all the posts on his translation patch, but it seems he’s gone and deleted the comments where 2 guys were trying to create THEIR OWN patch! To those 2 guys: Boys, you’re better off creating accounts on GBATemp and PMing each other instead. You can also ask for help over there with regards to romhacking. It’s an actual fitting place, rather than this ghost of a website that doesn’t deserve anyone’s attention anymore.

*sigh* I started to notice it too! Good thing I saved all of the threads in my e-mail. I even suggested that we try to have someone else (like BasicTranslation) to keep the project alive. When I notice that there were committed people that had started, I left it to them and kept quiet. Now that I notice some fishy action, I can’t stand by and watch. I hope that Ren be at least appreciated that there’s people who want the project to continue and at least have full support on this.

I only post this comment now but I don’t want to be pessimistic on it that’s why I didn’t try. When Albert Rei and the other had post links on their efforts in this WordPress, I really want to post that Ren if you ever try to read their comments on making their own patch don’t even plan of deleting them. You already broke your promise to anyone who wants this translation to be finished. And that’s why others are trying to make their own patch, but you deleted the comments they had. I do not believe I have ever once stated that this project is dropped, contrary to popular belief. I do believe I have stated that if another group feels the need to TL this game, that is their choice, as I do not own any of this. I’m just another Aokana loving fan at the end of the day.

Rip, I didn’t read the latest comments. And if you didn’t “drop the project” why is all evidence of progress erased? Wouldn’t you be working on it? You wouldn’t have deleted every update post for no reason. Therefore, the community can only assume at that point, the project was dropped.

Just a heads up for those who are new and didn’t know what happened: the new group who announced that they would translate the game have just now taken down their WordPress page. I’ve been checking their WordPress once a month or so, and I know it was up last month. It’s sad, because they actually released a snippet of their patch to the public, and they made frequent posts on there to keep us updated. But some time in March 2017, they announced they were putting the project on hold, in order to recruit more translators and improve their Japanese, and since then, they hadn’t posted anything new. I guess they’d given up too. Jesus, this VN really is cursed or something… wtf.

The English used here may look bad, but it won’t be them working on it. I mean, Sprite/Fairys is going on hiatus and they won’t be working on anything for a while.
Also, an added bonus would be localization for the PSVita, NinSwitch, and the newly announce mobile version. Don’t take my word for it.
